Delores G. “Tootsie” Hafemann, age 79, of Golden Valley, formerly of New Germany, died Sunday June 27, 2010, at Golden Valley Rehab and Care in Golden Valley.
She was born April 11, 1931, in Camden Township, Carver County, the daughter of Fred and Alma (Koehler) Hafemann. Delores was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie.
She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, sewing, candy, farming, and playing cards.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Alma Hafemann; brothers Hillard, Lowell, and Milton; and a sister-in-law, Delores Hafemann.
She is survived by nieces Brenda Hafemann, and Thereasa Hafemann; nephew Jeff Hafemann; great-nephews Shawn Hafemann and Steven Hafemann; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral service took place Friday, July 2 at noon at Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia with the Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. There was visitation for one hour prior to the service. Interment was at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lester Prairie.
Casket bearers were Nancy Acosta, Shawn Hafemann, Steven Hafemann, Bernie Barabash Jr., Brenda Hafemann, and Lowell Latzig.
