Marvin M. “Scheiber” Hentges, age 79, of Delano, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at the Elim Home in Watertown.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church of Delano. The Rev. Christopher Wenthe will officiate and inurnment will be at the Watertown Community Cemetery.
Gathering of family and friends will take place Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, with a rosary service at 4:30 p.m. Further visitation will be take place Wednesday, one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
Marvin was born March 13, 1930, to William and Bertha (Grolla) Hentges in Watertown, Minnesota.
He was a longtime employee of Plehal Blacktopping.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bertha Hentges; a brother, Clifford; sisters Adeline, Louella and Irene; nephew Dennis Quast; brother-in-law Alton Lundquist; and sisters-in-law Lorraine Fraser, and Connie Hentges.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 48 years, Loelita “Lee;” son Lance; four brothers and spouses, Clarence “Dutch” and Mae Hentges, Milton “Mickey” Hentges, Russell and Charlotte Hentges, DeVern and LaVonne Hentges; sister-in-law Marlys Lundquist; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
