Erik Todd Horrmann, age 20, of Dassel, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010.
He was born Nov. 30, 1990, in Hutchinson, the son of Todd and Ann (Anderson) Horrmann. Erik was baptized at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato, and confirmed at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel.
He attended Dassel Cokato High School, and graduated from Maple Lake High School.
Erik worked as a sales consultant at Suburban Chevrolet in Eden Prairie.
In high school, he enjoyed playing basketball and running track. He loved to spend time riding and racing dirt bikes with his friends. Erik was a social person, who had friends wherever he went and was dearly loved by his family.
He is survived by his parents, Todd and Ann Horrmann of Dassel; a sister, Emily Horrmann of Dassel; grandparents Dave and Audrey Horrmann of Hutchinson, and Laurel and Janet Anderson of Cokato; paternal great-grandmother, Diana Horrmann of Sun City, CA; and maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Cochran of Howard Lake.
He is also survived by a special friend, Kaloni Vollmer of Brownton; several aunts; uncles; and numerous cousins.
Erik was preceded in death by a maternal great-grandmother; both maternal great-grandfathers; a paternal great-grandmother, and both paternal great-grandfathers.
The funeral service took place Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel with the Rev. Steven Olson officiating.
Visitation was Tuesday evening, Jan. 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel, and continued Wednesday one prior to the service at the church.
Arrangements were by the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel.
