Milton H. Jensen, 84, of Howard Lake, passed away June 5, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center.
He was born in Menominee, MI, the son of Jens and Clara Jensen, who preceded him in death.
Also preceding him were a sister, Lucille Lauerman, and Dorothy Jensen, his devoted wife of 54 years.
Surviving are a brother, James Jensen and wife Donna of Beloit, WI; sister-in-law Laraine Tracy of Bloomington, MN; brothers-in-law Robert Giuliani of Hoyt Lakes, MN, and Eugene Guliani, Inver Grove Heights, MN; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who adored Uncle Milt.
Milton was a graduate of Menominee High School and the University of Minnesota with a master’s degree. He taught in Suitland, MD, before moving to Howard Lake, where he taught for 30 years until retirement in 1984.
He served in the United States Army in the Pacific during World War II.
He will be remembered as the owner, with Dorothy, of the Jensen Orchard.
Milt served on the city council in Howard Lake, and he was known as a woodcarver of beautiful birds.
Mass of Christian burial was Friday, June 11 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly at 11 a.m., with visitation at the church from 10 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the church.
