Malinda F. Ketcher, age 97, of Spring Park, died Saturday Sept. 18, 2010, at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
She was born Oct. 24, 1912, in St. Bonifacius, the daughter of Frank H. and Emma (Lindberg) Schmidt. Malinda was baptized Dec. 9, 1912, at her home, and confirmed May 9, 1926, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia.
Malinda was united in marriage to Adolph Ketcher Oct. 19, 1935, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph; brother Wilford Schmidt; and sisters Leona Ketcher and Mervania Baumann.
Malinda is survived by her loving family; son and daughter-in-law Don and Nancy Ketcher of Mound; grandchildren Pam and Dan Callahan, Randy Ketcher, Todd and Julie Ketcher; great-grandchildren Carissa, Kelsey and Madisen Ketcher; brother and sister-in-law Roylan and Leola Schmidt of Waconia; and nieces and nephews Larry Schmidt, Lori and Craig Thaemert, Elda and Jerry Latzke, Jim and Sue Schmidt, Ed and Karen Schmidt, Loren and Caryl Schmidt, Evelyn Grosshuesch.
The funeral service was Sunday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. at Lyndale Lutheran Church in Maple Plain with the Rev. Gale Reitan officiating. Visitation took place one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Minnetrista.
Casket bearers were Todd Ketcher, Randy Ketcher, Larry Schmidt, Craig Thaemert, Ed Schmidt, Loren Schmidt, and Jim Schmidt.
