Floyd R. Kleve, age 78, of Arizona, formerly of Cokato, died Monday, March 29, 2010, in Sierra Vista, AZ after a courageous battle with a long-term illness.
He was born in Minneapolis, Aug. 1, 1931, to William and Emma Kleve.
After high school, Floyd joined the US Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict as an aircraft mechanic.
He worked at North American Aviation and as a dairy farmer in Cokato.
Floyd loved fishing and was known for his mechanical abilities. He enjoyed fixing just about anything, keeping busy tinkering with any challenge that came his way. He also enjoyed flying, and shared his love for it with his family.
Floyd most recently lived with his friend and companion, Janice Kleve in Hereford, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Rikki and Mikel; and brothers Richard, William, Kenneth and Vernon Kleve.
Floyd is survived by his brother, Sheldon Kleve and wife Barbara of Minneapolis; sister Patricia and her husband, Gene of Lebanon, PA; his daughter, Susan Kleve of Minnesota; stepchildren Jerry Novacek and his wife, Tammy of Buckeye, AZ, Lori Beckman of Savage, MN, Anthony Novacek and his wife, Theresa of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Steven Novacek and his wife, Birgit of Etters, PA; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren from Arizona, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania who loved grandpa dearly.
Floyd was buried at Southern Arizona Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, AZ.
