Louise Mary Klingelhoets, age 89, of Aitkin, formerly of Howard Lake, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Golden Horizons Assisted Living and Memory Care in Aitkin.
A memorial Mass will take place Monday, April 26 at 11 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly with Fr. Timothy Cloutier officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the service at the church Monday.
Louise was born June 28, 1920, at Winsted, the daughter of Arthur and Magdalena Remer. She grew up and attended schools in Winsted.
She lived on and operated a farm in Howard Lake for many years, and then lived in Minneapolis for a time, before moving to Aitkin in 2007.
Louise enjoyed playing piano, gardening and canning, playing checkers, hunting, fishing, and garage sales.
She is survived by five sons and spouses: Donald (Mary) Klingelhoets of Waverly, Anthony (Gerlene) Klingelhoets, all of Waverly, Louis (Teresa) Klingelhoets of Aitkin, Mark (Gwen) Klingelhoets of Long Lake, and Alan Klingelhoets of Howard Lake; two daughters and spouses: Alice (Ken) Larson of Howard Lake, and Elaine (Tom) Robb of Woodstock, GA; a sister, Ann Westrup of Winsted; 23 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Magdalena Remer; spouse Louis; son John; brothers Anthony, Hans, Clemence, and Steven; and sister Rose Habisch.
