Orillia M. Kottke, age 92, of Montrose, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at the Buffalo Hospital.
She was born Jan. 18, 1918, in Lyman Township, Ford County, IL, the daughter of Fred and Martha Hornstein Zabel.
Orillia was joined in holy marriage with Edward Kottke Feb. 6, 1938, in Buckley, IL
Orillia formerly owned and operated Pete & Marie’s Bar in Martinton, IL.
She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, her grandchildren, and watching the Minnesota Twins on TV.
Orillia was a faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church-Crawford Lake for the past 25 years.
She is survived by her children: Raymond Kottke of Monticello, IL, Ronald (Trudy) Kottke of Papineau, IL, and Arliss (Lonnie) Johnson of Montrose; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha St. Peter of Watseka, IL.
Orillia was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kottke, in 1974; a son, Marvin Kottke; her parents; and five siblings.
Visitation was Thursday, Aug. 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
Interment was Saturday, Aug. 28 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Buckley, IL.
