Loretta A. (Heldt) Krause, age 78, of Mayer died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Auburn Home in Waconia.
She was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Waconia Township, the daughter of Valentine and Lydia (Domras) Lindner. Loretta was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia.
She was united in marriage to Willard Heldt in May of 1947. Willard passed away Oct. 5, 1973.
Loretta was then united in marriage to Herbert Krause Oct. 4, 1990. He passed away June 3, 2007.
Loretta enjoyed watching the birds sing and play every day. She had a knack for cooking great meals and always kept a clean house. She loved her dogs and going shopping.
In addition to her husbands, Loretta was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Kratzke; an infant son, Darrell; son-in-law Mark Bening; parents Valentine and Lydia Lindner; a sister, Grace Riley; and brothers Edgar and Florian Lindner.
She is survived by her loving family: son and daughter-in-law Larry and Linda Heldt of Hutchinson; daughter Nancy Bening of Stewart; son-in-law Earl Kratzke of Minneapolis; grandchildren Karen Kratzke, Holly Kratzke, Ryan Kratzke, Christopher Kratzke, John Kratzke, Chad Heldt, Dean Nemitz, and Dan and Shanna Nemitz; great-grandchildren Nathan, Briahna and Sawyer; sisters Glenna Krause of Arlington, and Esther Heldt of Waconia; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service took place Tuesday, June 15 at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia with Deacon Tim Harrer officiating. There was visitation for one hour prior to the service. Interment was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Watertown.
Casket bearers were Ryan Kratzke, Christopher Kratzke, John Kratzke, Dean Nemitz, Dan Nemitz, and Nathan Nemitz.
