Richard G. Krotzer, age 75, of Maple Plain, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
He was born Feb. 19, 1935, in Saint Bonifacius, MN the son of George and Dorothy (Schultz) Krotzer.
Richard was united in marriage to Audrey B. Bauernschmitt Feb. 11, 1961, at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Saint Bonifacius.
A wonderful husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa, Richard had a good sense of humor, was very creative, and could fix anything.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Krotzer; parents George and Dorothy Krotzer; sister Joyce Hietanen; brother David Krotzer; and two grand-doggers, Daisy and Little Pup.
Richard is survived by his wife, Audrey; children and spouses, Jackie and Charles Weishaar of Minneapolis, Jeff and Sarah Krotzer of Buffalo, Rod Krotzer of Maple Plain, Vicki and Brady Kreger of Elk River, Jill and John Heinbuch of Hastings, and Dawn and Kevin Benshoof of Plymouth; grandchildren Cory, Taschell, Anton, Cohler, Emmanuelle, Emily, and Jacob; and great-grandchildren Cory Jr. and Savannah.
He is further survived by a sister, Beatrice Bathurst of Waverly; brothers and sisters-in-law Daniel and Sandy Krotzer of Lake Benton, William and Cheryl Krotzer of Vermillion, SD; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert Hietanen of Plymouth; Dorothy Krotzer of Lake Benton, Lorraine Bauernschmitt, Stanford Bauernschmitt, both of Maple Plain, and Wilbert and Joan Bauernschmitt of Montrose; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service took place Saturday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rockford, followed by a luncheon reception at the Montrose Community Center. There was a private graveside service at Lewis Cemetery in Maple Plain.
Arrangements were by the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia.
