Edward Leo Kulinski, age 75, of Silver Lake, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society of Howard Lake.
He was born Jan. 18, 1935, in Hale Township, McLeod County, the son of Leo and Clara Nowak Kulinski.
Edward was joined in holy marriage with Beatrice Lhotka June 16, 1959, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
They lived in Silver Lake for 13 years, then moved to the home place in Hale Township where Edward was born and raised.
Edward was employed in maintenance at Pure Milk Creamery in Winsted for 41 years.
He was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake, and a past grand knight of Knights of Columbus Council 1841.
Ed is survived by sisters and brothers: Marie (Cliff) Ruzicka of Winsted, Marcy (Robert) Ernhart of Howard Lake, Gerald (Jan) Kulinski of Winsted, James (Marlene) Kulinski of Lester Prairie, Sharon (Ray) Bandas, and Karen Kulinski, all of Silver Lake; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ray (Joyce) Lhotka of Silver Lake, Donald (Marion) Lhotka of Lester Prairie, Francis (Pok-Hui) Lhotka of Federal Way, WA, George (Helen) Lhotka, Roger (Genny) Lhotka, and Larry (Janice) Lhotka, all of Silver Lake; Violet (Vic) Erickson of Maple Lake, and Ed Boelhke of Waverly; many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Beatrice Kulinski Oct. 7, 2008; his parents; brothers Gerald James Kulinski and Leo Kulinski Jr.; a sister, Lorraine Boehlke; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Mary Lhotka; and sisters-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Monday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Organist for the Mass was Alice Nowak, reader was Genny Lhotka, eulogy was by Ande Wendlandt, and Eucharistic minister was Ray Bandas. Gift bearers were Lori Smith and Kristin Witts. Interment was at Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation was Sunday, Dec. 12 from 4 to 8:30 p.m. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake. A Knights of Columbus Rosary was recited at 7 p.m., and parish Prayers were at 8 p.m.
Casket bearers were Chad Bandas, Ron Boehlke, John Ernhart, Kyle Kulinski, Dale Ruzicka, and Dean Ruzicka.
The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake served the family.
