Greg E. Loux, age 74, of Delano, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 18, 1936, to Earl and Gertrude (Alm) Loux in St. Paul.
Greg was a salesman with an entrepreneurial spirit who owned at one time Greg’s Body Shop and Salvage Yard, DeLoux Golf Cars, and the Delano Dairy Queen, among others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gertrude Loux; and a father-in-law, Bill Schafer.
Greg is survived by his loving wife, Ellie; children: sons Kevin, and Scott and special friend Gussie; daughters Kimberly and Howard Dean, and Leslie Loux; grandchildren Ben, Angela, Allison, Melissa, Kiley, and Skye; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Sheryl and Pat Rayome, Mary and Stan Ripplinger, Bill and Lois Schafer, Vern and Julie Schafer, and Bob Schafer; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were Thursday, Sept. 23 at the Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Delano with the Rev. Lee Hallstrom officiating. Interment with honors took place at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
