Marilyn L. Melaas, age 78, of Watertown, died Friday Dec. 17, 2010, at the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home in Chaska.
She was born Oct. 16, 1932, in Ashby, MN the daughter of Leonard and Amanda (Nelson) Evavold.
Marilyn enjoyed cooking, sewing, cross stitching, and working on puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents Leonard and Amanda Evavold; and a brother, Larry Evavold.
Marilyn is survived by her loving family; sons Larry (Sheri) Iversen of Minnetrista, and Jon Melaas of Minnetonka; grandchildren Ryan and Beth Iversen, and Megan Iversen; great-grandchildren Max and Addy Iversen, and Conner Iversen; brother Ron (Karen) Evavold of Alexandria; sisters-in-law Ardis Evavold of Maple Plain, and Anola Evavold of Plymouth; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service took place Monday, Dec. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia with visitation for one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Bob Haskins officiated.
