Donald W. Michalsky, age 85, of Cokato, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010.

Don was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, bee keeping, and gardening.

He was a machinist by trade.

Don was a voracious reader, interested in politics, science, and astronomy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Tillie; brother Robert; sister Grace; a son; and a granddaughter, Jamie.

Don is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter Lissa; son Dan; and grandkids, Sam and Lily.

Visitation was Friday, Aug. 6, at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Cokato. A private interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
