Paul Andrew Millerbernd, age 95, of Winsted, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, May 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Sunday, May 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, and will continue at the funeral home Monday one hour prior to Mass.
Paul was born May 25, 1914, in Victor Township, Wright County, the son of Joseph B. L. and Josephine (Thiemann) Millerbernd.
He was united in marriage to Rosella “Sally” Laxen Oct. 24, 1939, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Paul was the founder and president of Millerbernd Manufacturing Company in Winsted from 1933 to 1985. Millerbernd Mfg. Co. is a nationwide producer of lighting structures and steel rings and cylinders for the electrical industry.
He is survived by his loving family: children, Yvonne C. (Noel) Guggemos of Lester Prairie, David P. (Renee) Millerbernd of Winsted, and Stephen A. (Julie) Millerbernd of Waverly; grandchildren Sonya Guggemos, Chad (Billie) Guggemos, Trevor (Samantha) Millerbernd, Nathan (Sarah) Millerbernd, Erika (Troy) Gerry, Emily (Blair) Johnston, and Anna (Jacob) Streich; great-grandchildren Madison and Nicholas Guggemos, Payton Millerbernd, Ellie, Chase and Emma Millerbernd, Mason Gerry, Maeve Johnston, and Gavin Streich.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella “Sally;” great-granddaughter Faith Johnston; siblings Mary, Albert, Carl and Frank; and parents Joseph and Josephine Millerbernd.
