Mary K. Motzko, age 90, of Watertown, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
She was born July 21, 1920, in Franklin Township, to Michael and Nellie (Cebulla) Farniok.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Motzko Sr.; parents Michael and Nellie Farniok; infant son Francis; daughter Georgia Blackketter; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and siblings Evelyn Kruzel, Edwin Farniok, Lorraine Duske, Clarence Farniok, and Ray Farniok.
She is survived by her children, Thomas and Kathy Motzko, Arlene Schroeder, Ralph “Butch” and Kim Motzko, Susie and Arnie Lauer, Steven Motzko, Theresa and Pete Schendel, George and Sandy Motzko, and Angie Motzko; 28 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Mary is further survived by a sister, Eleanor Pearson; sisters-in-law Lucille Farniok, Shirley Farniok, and Vivian Farniok; son-in-law Donald and Lonnie Blackketter; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown with the Rev. Frank Wampach officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church, with a rosary at 3:30 p.m.; and continued Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Casket bearers were Nick Motzko, Darryl Helmbrecht, Jim Kasheimer, Charo Motzko, Lance Schendel, Bob Blackketter, Tracy Duske, and Lisa Donahue.
Arrangements were by the Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home.
