Lucas “Luke” Matthew Rasset, age 28, of Buffalo, formerly of Montrose, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, in a snowmobile accident.
He was born Oct. 17, 1981, in Waconia, to Michael and Janice (Scheuble) Rasset.
Luke was full of life. He loved life and everything that came with it, including motorcycle trips with his family, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time with family and friends. He also loved softball, baseball, football, and volleyball.
Luke’s family is proud of his many accomplishments. He earned a civil engineering degree and put that degree to work, being in the employ of SRF Consulting Group, Inc. where he worked as an engineer.
Kind and generous, Luke was always helping others, always with a big smile. We do not understand God’s will, but Luke’s work here on earth was done. His passing has left a huge hole in everyone’s life that he had touched.
In death, Luke continued to give by being an organ and tissue donor; and as a result he lives on in those that he has helped. He will be remembered and loved by all who knew him, especially his family.
Luke was preceded in death by his uncles, Melvin Scheuble, Dennis Rasset, and Paul Lukach.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Jan Rasset; brother and sister-in-law Jake and Meagan Rasset; five nieces and nephews, Isaiah, Elijah, Lydia, Brenna, and Annika; grandparents Marvin and Ellen Scheuble, and Jay and Marie Rasset; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
