Wayne Leroy Stenerson, age 77, of Yuma, AZ, formerly of Waverly, died of a stroke Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at his home.
He was born Aug. 1, 1933, in Grafton, ND, to Paul and Carrie Stenerson.
Wayne graduated from high school and continued his education in Winona, where he met his first wife, Teresa. They married in 1958, and had four daughters, Laurie, Linda, Lisa and Karen.
In 1971, Wayne bought a cabin on Big Waverly Lake, where he was a summer resident for around 30 years. He loved to hunt, fish, and meet up with his friends at the Waverly Muni.
Wayne worked for Control Data until his retirement at age 45.
He is survived by his second wife, Roberta, of Yuma, AZ; daughters Laura (Thomas) Sterner of Howard Lake; Linda Mattson, Lisa Stenerson and Karen (Roger) Karels, all of Waverly; six grandchildren, Ryan, Christian and Shane Sterner, Shauna Rein, Sarah and Charlie Jewett; and one great-grandson, Charles Jewett.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service has taken place in Yuma, AZ.
