Deloris R. Wills Obituary – 4/11/2010


Deloris Ruth Wills, age 84, of Hutchinson, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at the Birchwood Hospice House in Hutchinson.

Deloris was born Aug. 26, 1925, in Redwood Falls, the daughter of Ralph and Ruth (Owen) Kolp.

She married Earl Wills Aug. 26, 1925, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, IA. Their marriage was blessed with three children.

They spent most of their married life in Hutchinson, where Deloris joined the Hospital Auxiliary, working in different areas; the Hi Neighbor Project Group until closing, and the Bear Lake Sunshine Society. She was a volunteer at the Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop and the McLeod County Museum.

Deloris enjoyed traveling, making and donating quilts to numerous agencies, crocheting, making crafts, flower gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She was a hard worker and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed baking, and made the best cookies and wonderful bread.

Deloris was a member of the Dassel Church of Christ, where she participated in many church functions. She treasured her many friendships there.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers Harley and Simon (Pete) Kolp; sisters Mary and Margaret; one brother and four sisters in infancy; grandson Gary Van Hove; and daughter Ronda Stone.

Deloris is survived by her husband, Earl Wills; and daughters, Nancy (Robert) Poladian of Clearwater, FL, and Earline (Paul) Schulstad of Willmar; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Geraldine Duscher of Redwood Falls.

A private gathering of family took place Wednesday, April 14. Interment will be at the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
