Penelope Helen Wright, age 74, of Annandale, formerly of Waverly and Perham, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at the Buffalo Hospital.
She was born Sept. 22, 1936, in Moorhead, to Joseph R. and B. Myrtle (Monge) Zora.
Penny married Dennis Wright June 15, 1965, in Fargo, and he preceded her in death in 1999.
Penny worked as a certified nursing assistant for 20 years, retiring from the Perham Memorial Hospital and Home.
She enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, attending Bible study, caring for animals, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Penny is survived by her four sons and their spouses, Joseph and Shelly of Annandale, Donald and Sue, Dennis and Jia, all of Hutchinson, and Thomas of Buffalo; sister Bette Craik, and sister-in-law Thelma Zora, both of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren, Kaylee, Becca, Sammi, Brianna, Leah and Treyden.
In addition to her husband, Dennis, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Myrtle; and a brother, Richard Zora.
Memorial services took place Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Annandale Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Kevin Groven officiating. Kaylee Peterson, soloist, and Phyllis Johnson, pianist, provided the music for the service. The urn bearer was Steve Gagnon.Interment was at St. Henry’s Catholic Cemetery, Perham.
