Scott S. Berry, 59

Scott S. Berry, age 59, of Lester Prairie, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011, at his home.

He was born Nov. 2, 1951, in Minneapolis, the son of William E. and Phyllis M. (Hess) Berry.

Scott was united in marriage to Sharon M. Schuettpelz Feb. 16, 1970, in Watertown, SD.

Scott was the kind of person to put everyone before himself. He was very unselfish, and a pleasure to be around.

He loved the Lord, and loved going to Grace Bible Church. His extended family at the church were very important to him.

Scott loved spending time with his grandchildren. You would often find him at their sporting events.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, especially going on long trips with Sharon. Scott had a Coke Cola collection, and also collected antiques.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Berry; brother Billy Berry; and father-in-law Omar Schuettpelz.

Scott is survived by his loving family; wife Sharon; children and spouses David and Robin Berry of Lester Prairie, Annette and Wade Stock of Watertown, Aimee Wilder and special friend Shawn Solavong, and Justin and Natalie Berry, all of Lester Prairie; grandchildren Emilie, Garrett and Wyatt Berry, Craig Becker, Cody and Chase Stock, and James and Tony Wilder; mother Phyllis Berry of Lester Prairie; sisters and brothers-in-law Judy and Orlin Engelke of Plato, Sheryl and Lester Mahlstedt, Cindy and Joel Machemehl, Leanne and Michael Mochinski, and Lynise and Alan Wiederholt, all of Lester Prairie; brothers Keith Berry of Winsted, and Kelly Berry of Glencoe; mother-in-law Myrtle Schuettpelz of Mayer; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol and Don Luedke of Fort Wayne, IN; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service took place Wednesday, April 27 at 2 p.m. at Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake, with Dr. Tom C. Rakow officiating. Interment was at Grace Bible Cemetery in Silver Lake.

Visitation was from noon until the time of the service at the church.

Casket bearers were David Berry, Aimee Wilder, Justin Berry, Craig Becker, James Wilder, and Tony Wilder.

Honorary casket bearers Emilie Berry, Garrett Berry, Wyatt Berry, Cody Stock, and Chase Stock.
