Mary C. Boisvert Obituary – 11/27/2011


Mary Catherine (Bauman) Boisvert, age 87, of Plymouth, died peacefully Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, in her home at Heathers Manor.

A celebration of life will take place Monday, Dec. 5 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N., from 5 to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at The Church of St. Peter, 217 S. 2nd St., Delano, with visitation one hour before the Mass at the church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Delano.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities, Saint Jude Hospice, St. Peter’s Catholic Church (Delano), or the Animal Humane Society are welcome.

Arrangements are by Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel.

Mary was born at home in Delano, Oct. 8, 1924, to George and Theresa Bauman.

She graduated from Delano High School at age 17, and then graduated from Minneapolis Business College at age 18.

Mary was united in marriage to Art Boisvert July 12, 1952.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Mary was also a loyal employee of Fine Management, where she worked for 51 years as the office manager and accountant, retiring at age 81.

She was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Parish Center in Plymouth.

Mary loved to cook, bake, knit, and collect cookbooks, and was an avid Twins fan.

She is survived by two daughters, Barb Hagen (Jim), and Marge Boisvert-Nelson (Gene); two sons, Bill Boisvert (Natalie), and Robert Boisvert; four grandchildren, Christopher, Katie (David), Hunter and Sophie; one brother, Francis (Ruth); five sisters, Ann, Georgia, Barb, Lucy (Jim), and Edie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Art; and two brothers, Bill and Ralph.
