Tyler Daniel Burdick, age 2 years and 8 months, of St. Cloud, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, after a brave fight against infant leukemia.
He was born Feb. 26, 2009, in St. Cloud, to Daniel and Stephanie (Koppendrayer) Burdick.
Tyler loved playing with his brothers, cars, trains, and being outdoors. He was well-known at Children’s Hospital for running the halls, and he brought a smile to all who knew him.
Tyler will be remembered for teaching people how to enjoy the little things in life.
He is survived by his loving parents, Daniel and Stephanie Burdick; brothers Dawson, age 4, and Gabriel, age 7 months; grandparents Ronald and Sandra Koppendrayer of Princeton, and Gordon and Verlynn Burdick of Hector; great-grandmother Yvonne Nogle of Becker; aunts and uncles Vicky Burdick of West St. Paul, and Sarah, Justin, and Matthew Koppendrayer of Princeton; and many other relatives and friends of the family.
Tyler was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Roy Nogle, John and Marilla Koppendrayer, Clark and Clara Burdick, and Arthur and Ethel Schwantes.
A memorial service took place Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at Harvest Fellowship Church in Sauk Rapids, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
