Virgil Warren Dalbec, Jr., age 37, of rural Montrose, passed away Friday morning, July 22, 2011, near Waverly.
He was born June 20, 1974, in Carver County, the son of Virgil A. and Jean Driver Dalbec Sr.
Virgil graduated from Howard Lake-Waverly High School in 1992.
He was employed as a laborer in masonry construction.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his sons, snowmobiling, and tinkering with things.
Virgil is survived by his sons, Virgil Dalbec Jr. and Isaiah Dalbec, both of Montrose, and Dylan Dalbec of Winsted; his father, Virgil A. Dalbec Sr.; a brother, Jason (Joelle) Dalbec; a sister, Melissa (Harley) Olson, all of New Richland; half brother Jeremy (Michelle) Driver; nine nieces and nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; special friend Chris Brenny; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Dalbec April 7, 2008.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday, July 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.; and continued Tuesday morning, one hour prior to Mass at the church.
Casket bearers were Chris Brenny, Matthew Dalbec, Tregg Dalbec, Treston Dalbec, Derrek Dalbec, and Jared Dalbec.
