Jason Ernest Eberhard, age 37, of Winsted, and former longtime resident of Howard Lake, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 9, 2011.
He was born Oct. 8, 1973, in Omaha, NE, to Charles David Eberhard and Juanita (Jording) Eberhard.
Jason graduated from Southwest High School in Minneapolis, and went on to get a degree from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, before he entered the National Guard. He served as a specialist from 2000 to 2007, and received an honorable discharge.
Jason married Becky Olwin June 12, 2005. They lived together with their five children, Liam, Ivan, Hugo, Holly and Orin, in Winsted, the highlights of Jason’s life, and subjects of his most humble pride.
Jason worked as a garbage man with Randy’s Sanitation for many years, and always enjoyed the work that he did and the people he met. He maintained many friendships from high school, and was always outgoing, energetic, and loved to laugh.
Jason was an auto mechanic and always interested in working “under the hood.” He was an avid collector of Hot Wheels, developed an extraordinary fondness for Lady Gaga, and loved slapstick comedy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita.
Jason is survived by his wife and children; his father, Dave Eberhard (Sandy); and siblings Chuck (Chris), Jeff, and Amy (Brad).
The funeral service was Thursday, July 14 at 6 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home chapel in Winsted, preceded by visitation beginning at 4 p.m. The Rev. Mark Loder officiated.
