Fred Allen Farr, age 51, of Delano, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 23, 2011, at his home.
He was born Sept. 1, 1959, to Fred Farr and Ann Czanstkowski in Minneapolis.
Fred was a wonderful husband and father. He was a strong Christian man with a moral compass which led him to always do the right thing.
A generous soul, Fred was willing to help out others at any time. He had a mischievous side, good for practical jokes and a spot-on Donald Duck impersonation.
Fred enjoyed volleyball, fixing things, running equipment, and fishing with friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children Thomas, Danielle, Jessica, and Cheyanne; a sister, Sherry Folz; aunts and uncles Frank Czanstkowski, Lucielle Horak, Mary Hestness, and Joe Czanstkowski; and a loving niece, Sarah.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Farr; and stepfather Ronald Pelarski.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, July 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano, with interment at the Grandview Cemetery in Hopkins.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, with a rosary service at 3:30 p.m., and a prayer service at 8 p.m.; and continued Thursday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to leaving for Mass.
Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
