Ann A. “Sis” Fasching, age 86, of Winsted, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
She was born May 29, 1925, in St. Paul, the daughter of John and Anna Heisenburger Scheiber.
Ann was joined in holy marriage with Vincent Fasching May 17, 1947. God blessed their marriage with three children.
Ann and Vincent farmed southwest of Winsted for many years.
Following her husband’s death in 1987, Ann worked at Holy Trinity School in the cafeteria for 10 years.
Ann was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, and belonged to CCW and the St. Anne’s Society.
She is survived by her loving children: Donald (Jean) Fasching of Howard Lake, Dennis (Linda) Fasching of Niota, IL, and Denise Jaskowiak of Winsted; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Vincent, Ann was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Stefan Jaskowiak; a great-granddaughter, Kristina Woelfel Matter; her parents; two sisters, Marie Fasching and Hilde Lissick; and by a brother, John Scheiber.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with Father Tony Hesse as the celebrant. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted from 4 to 8 p.m, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m., followed by parish prayers.
Casket bearers were Peter Fasching, Jeff Fasching, Trevor Fasching, Guy Pariseau, Matt Jaskowiak, and Lloyd Eastling.
Paul Jaskowiak was honorary casket bearer.
