Elsie Guentzel, age 86, of New Virginia, IA ,and formerly of Winsted and Mankato, died Tuesday, Aug. 2nd, 2011, at her residence.
She was born March 17, 1925, in Scott City, MN, the daughter of Emil and Johanna Malz Freter.
Elsie was employed many years as a nurses’ assistant, both in Eagle Lake and in Madison Lake.
She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Elsie enjoyed reading and fishing.
She is survived by her children, Edward Juberian Jr. of Good Thunder, Judy (Tony) Despenas of Milo, IA, Mark (Cindy) Juberian of Mankato, and Carolyn (Nick) Liberty of Detroit, MI; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Janine Juberian of Good Thunder; and other relatives and friends.
Elsie was preceded in death by husband, Edward Juberian Sr.; a son, Michael Juberian; a daughter-in-law, Shelly Juberian; her parents; and by her brothers and sisters, infant Lawrence, Emil, Verdell, Emma, Adeline, Elsie, and Sadie.
Funeral services took place Saturday, Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with visitation beginning at 8 a.m. until the time of the service. The Rev. Mark Loder officiated, and there was private interment at the Lutheran Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
