Linda Marie Habisch, age 59, a lifelong resident of Winsted, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011, at her home, with family at her side.
She was born Oct. 6, 1951, in Watertown, the daughter of Carl Frank and Helen Theresa (Keiser) Habisch.
Linda was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
She enjoyed camping, gardening, quilting, and making arts and crafts. Spending time with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews was also very important to her.
Linda is survived by her son, Billy Habisch; mother Helen Theresa Habisch; brothers and sisters Bernadine Habisch, Rosemary Zitzloff, Dorothy Wiegert, Millie Kennard, Bob (special friend, Kim) Habisch, Joyce (Terry) Schwalbe, Joan (Jerry) Olson, Chuck Habisch and Jim (Kathy) Habisch; sister-in-law Priscilla Habisch; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Frank Habisch; a brother, Richard Habisch; and brothers-in-law Edward Zitzloff, Keith Helmbrecht, and Earl Kennard.
A memorial Mass took place Thursday, July 14 at 5 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with Fr. Tony Hesse as celebrant. Inurnment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday, July 14 from 2-5 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Honorary urn bearers were Linda’s godchildren: Jennifer Nye and Adam Olson. Urn bearer was her son, Billy Habisch.
