Mileka Sae Hall, age 9, of Silver Lake passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Hennepin County Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 9, 2001, in Waconia, the daughter of Kyle Wawrzyniak and JoAnna Hall.
Mileka was in the third grade at Dassel Elementary School.
She enjoyed swimming, Rollerblading, and playing softball.
Mileka was always very giving, and she ended every conversation with “Love You.” Her happiness and love of life were contagious.
In addition to her parents, Kyle Wawrzyniak and JoAnna Hall, Mileka is further survived by a brother and two sisters: Justin Wawrzyniak, and Brianna and Ashley Hall; grandparents Judi Hall of Silver Lake, Ron Hall of Kona, HI, Gene and Burnett Wawrzyniak, and Norma Wawrzyniak, all of Silver Lake; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Frank and Ann Shamla, Joseph and Rachel Hall, Rebecca Mileka Hall, Edward and Sophie Wawrzyniak, and Otto and Emily Stritesky; a cousin, Teal Stifter; and by an uncle, Poloka Tereise.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, May 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake with Father Tony Stubeda and Father Patrick Okonkwo as concelebrants. Interment was at Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation was Wednesday, May 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake, with parish prayers at 5:30 p.m; and continued Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the Mass.
Casket bearers were Jason Loeschen, Jacob Merrill, Chad Pierson, Nick Posusta, Giles Stifter, Kyle Stifter, Brent Stifter, Willie Van De Steeg. and Karl Wawrzyniak.
Arrangements were handled by The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake.
