Nikole Hernandez, age 9, of Montrose, passed away suddenly Sunday, July 17, 2011, at the Buffalo Hospital.
She was born in St. Paul Oct. 23, 2001, the daughter of Armando and Evelyn Benitez-Hernandez.
Nikole had recently completed the third grade at Montrose Elementary School. She played the violin.
She is survived by her loving parents; brothers Armando, Anthony, and Andrew Hernandez; maternal grandmother Lilian Segovia; paternal grandmother Delia Hernandez; uncles and an aunt, Francisco and Alexander Segovia and Beatriz Valdes; godmother Cristina Iglesias; and many other family members and friends.
A Mass of the Angels took place Saturday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
Visitation was Friday, July 22 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, and continued Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
