Timothy A. Holthaus, age 47, of Buffalo, formerly of St. Michael, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, of stomach cancer at REM & Company Group Home in Buffalo.
He was born Feb. 29, 1964, in Buffalo, the son of Raymond and Bernelda (Hackenmueller) Holthaus.
Timothy graduated Buffalo Senior High School in 1982.
He worked for Functional Industries for 30 years as an assembler.
Timothy loved people, swimming, music, and his family. He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for many reasons, but especially for his saying “You Know Me?”
Timothy was preceded in death by his mother, Bernelda, at age 61; a sister, Nancy, at age 4; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his father, Raymond of St. Michael; brother Tom (Patty) Holthaus of St. Michael; sisters Linda (Doug) Johnson of St. Michael, Kathy (Tom) Gleason of Rogers, Karen of Monticello, Bonnie (Steve) Kilian of St. Michael, and Judy (Jim) Pauman of Waverly; and nieces and nephews Amy Gleason, Lorie Gleason, Danny (Bree) Gleason, Bonnie Gleason, Paul Kilian, Tom Kilian, Katie Kilian, Susie Kilian, Joe Kilian, Julie Kilian, Andy Pauman, Jenny Pauman, Tony Pauman, Jesse Johnson, Jake Johnson and Wendy Holthaus.
A funeral Mass took place Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, with interment in St. Michael Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
