David L. Johnson, age 48, of Superior, WI, formerly of Montrose, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, after a nine-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
He was born Sept. 8, 1962, in Denver, CO, son of Lloyd (Rocky) and Orleitha (Orle) Johnson.
David graduated from Buffalo High School in 1981. He obtained his degree at the Minnesota School of Business, and had a successful career as a manager for Woolworth’s and Petco.
David was the proud father of two sons, David Jr, 22, and Morgan, 21. He valued the time he spent with his sons. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family, and spending time with his dog, Austin.
He is survived by his children, David Jr. and Morgan; his parents; siblings Claudia Brunner of Lafayette, CO, Shelley Bergman, and Terry (and Tami), all of Buffalo; and many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as countless other family and friends whose hearts he touched.
A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly. Father Martin B. Shallbetter was the principal concelebrant.
Visitation was Friday, Feb. 4 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Casket bearers were Carey Kieser, Craig Kieser, Jim Johnson, Scott Stenseth, Scott Gavin and Nick Kath.
Arrangements were by the Peterson Chapel, Buffalo.
