Sharon E. Klein, age 56, of Cologne, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, in Waconia.
She was born Oct. 29, 1954, in Shakopee, the daughter of Francis H. “Bob” and Irene H (Vos) Klein. Sharon was baptized and confirmed at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Cologne.
She was a graduate of Central High School in Norwood Young America.
Sharon loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and gardening. She also enjoyed visiting with her friends and family, and traveling.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Klein; grandparents Peter and Marie Vos, and Frank and Jenny Klein; and uncles Wilfred Vos and Gene Wallrich.
She is survived by her loving family; father, Bob Klein of Waconia; brothers and sisters-in-law Gerald and Janet Klein of Delano, Maury and Carol Klein of Brooklyn Center, and Kenneth and Cindy Klein of Watertown; nieces and nephews Patricia and Vern Ness, Elaine and Jeremy Raatz, Shawn and April Klein, Alicia Klein, Jenna Klein and Mason Hughes, Nicholas Klein and Peter Klein; great nieces and nephews Michael, Mark, Joshua, Dalton, Nicole, Sarah, Ruth, Micah, Elyse, and Raymond; aunts Phyllis Vos of Cologne, and Janette Wallrich of St. Louis Park; and other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Cologne with Father Martin Shallbetter officiating. Interment was at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday, Oct. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia, and continued Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the Mass.
Casket bearers were Shawn Klein, Nicholas Klein, Peter Klein, Jeremy Raatz, Mason Hughes, and Brian Vos.
