Jerry “Pinky” Norris Krohn, age 76, of Winsted, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at St. Mary’s Care Center.
He was born Nov. 29, 1934, in Victor Township, Wright County, the son of Arthur and Meta Yager Krohn.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army.
Jerry was joined in holy marriage to Barbara Elliott in 1981.
Jerry loved sports, gardening, traveling, and good food.
He was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Winsted.
Jerry is survived by sisters and brothers, Ramona Kirchner of Sleepy Eye, Thomas Krohn, Roland Krohn, both of Howard Lake, Rita Krohn, Paulette Krohn, both of Minneapolis, Dale Krohn of Maple Grove, Grant Krohn of Maple Lake and Mary Krohn of Bloomington; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. Elliott Feb. 10, 1993; his parents; and by his special friend, Diane Hertzog, May 18, 2003.
Funeral services took place Saturday, June 18 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Winsted with the Rev. Mark Loder officiating. Interment will followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose, CA.
Visitation was Friday, June 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, and continued Saturday morning, June 18, one hour prior to the services at the church.
Casket bearers were Shannon Krohn, Jeff Krohn, Keith Kirchner, and Stanley Gulso.
