Jerome Elmer Lambert, age 72, of Delano, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 9, 1939, in Buffalo, the son of August and Dolores Knight Lambert.
Jerome was formerly employed for 30 years as a heavy equipment operator for the City of St. Louis Park; and belonged to the 49ers.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, rodeos, snowmobiling, and camping.
Jerome is survived by his wife, Dianne Lambert; four sons, Melvin Lambert, Dean Lambert, both of Delano, Michael (Julie) Lambert of Buffalo, and Ronny Lambert of Delano; grandchildren Austin Lambert and Cody Lambert; a sister, Evangeline Berthiaume of Annandale’ and by a brother, Harold (Catherine) Lambert of St. Louis Park; as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by three brothers, Duane, Orville and Melvin.
A memorial service took place Saturday, Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted with Chaplain Bob Haskin officiating. Special music was provided by Tony Kline, who sang “The Old Rugged Cross.”
Honorary casket bearers were Clifford Lambert, Harold Lambert Jr., and Charles Wagner Jr.
