Melvin Kenneth Lambert, age 48, of Delano died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011.
He was born Sept. 17, 1963, in St. Louis Park, the son of Jerome E. and Dianne E. Wagner Lambert.
Melvin graduated from Eisenhower High School in Hopkins.
He owned and operated Lambert’s Cab. Melvin enjoyed being a businessman.
He also was fond of hunting, fishing, camping, the out-of-doors, rodeos, and computers.
Melvin is survived by a son, Austin Lambert, age 9, of Glencoe; his mother, Dianne Lambert of Delano; brothers Dean Lambert of Delano, Michael (Julie) Lambert of Buffalo, and Ronny Lambert of Delano; a nephew, Cody Lambert; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome E. Lambert, Aug. 10, 2011; grandparents Delores and August Lambert, and Sophie and Edward Wagner; and uncles Marvin Wagner, Duane Lambert, Orville Lambert, and Melvin Lambert.
Funeral services took place Thursday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, with Chaplain Bob Haskin officiating.
Visitation was Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
Casket bearers were Tammy Hill, Kathy O’Brien, Mark Kotilinek, Harold Lambert Jr., Cliff Lambert, and Paul Sheeley.
