Nancy Colleen Lanz, age 69, of Dassel, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at her home.
A memorial service will take place Monday, May 23 at 1 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel. The Rev. Keith Carlson will officiate at the service.
There will be a time to gather with the family one hour prior to the service Monday at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel.
Nancy was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Harvey and Delores (Smith) Hall. She grew up in Robbinsdale, where she attended school.
She furthered her education and received her licensed practical nursing degree. Nancy was employed at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale for several years.
Nancy was united in marriage to Lyle Lanz Aug. 27, 1986, in Deadwood, SD. They made their home in the Dassel area for the past 11 years.
Nancy enjoyed a good book and could often be found reading after all the work had been finished. She also enjoyed TV, gambling, fishing, and family barbeques.
She was a quiet lady, who enjoyed the time that she spent with her family, and she will be deeply missed by both her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Lyle of Dassel; children, Valerie Kinikin of Dassel, Candace Todd of Winsted, Susan (Robert) Coyle of Bagley, and Richard (Stacy) Kinikin of Perryville, MO; and a brother, Larry (Jeannie) Hall of Cedar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Sandy Werdehoff, Patty Johnson, and an infant sister, Linda Sue.
Arrangements are being handled by the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel.
