June Clarice Lundborg, age 77, of Dassel, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at the Lakeside Health Care Center in Dassel.
She was born June 1, 1934, in Cokato, to Clarence and Agnes Peterson. June was a member of the Cokato High School class of 1952.
June was united in marriage to Dale Wendell Lundborg Oct. 6, 1957.
She was employed at the dental office of Dr. Elwyn Piker in Cokato until her daughter, Kathy, was born in 1959.
A life-long member of the Cokato Evangelical Lutheran Church, June sang in the chancel choir, taught Sunday school, helped direct the children’s choirs, and was a member of the Women of the ELCA.
June enjoyed cooking and baking, taking care of her yard and flowers, having coffee with friends at the local bakery, spending time with her family, and taking care of her grand-dog, Scooter. Many times she could be seen driving down the road with Scooter riding in the back window of her car.
June also had an unbelievable knack for decorating, taking great pride in setting up wonderful displays for each holiday. Her own Christmas tree was decorated meticulously each year with loving care. For many years she also hosted Christmas coffee parties for neighbors and friends.
June enjoyed working with her husband, Dale, at the fall harvest sale that they had at their home for approximately 30 years. Together, they planted, harvested, and sold pumpkins, Indian corn, gourds, popcorn, and many varieties of squash each fall. They made many friends through their business, who returned each year to purchase fall decorations.
