Clarence L. Lyrek, age 79, of St. Paul, formerly of Delano, passed unexpectedly Sunday, June 19, 2011, and went to meet his eternal Father.
He was born and raised in Delano.
Clarence married and raised two daughters in St. Paul.
He worked over 40 years at Andrew’s Knitting, and resided the last year of his life at Champlin Shores, where he was embraced by the amazing staff and residents.
Clarence was a devoted husband to Elaine; loving father to Corinne (Roger) Olson and Rhonda (Jeff) Green; grandfather to Lindsey and Brandon Olson, and Cassandra Green; and is further survived by siblings Eleanor, Bernice, Steve, Pat, Jerry, and John.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Genevieve; a brother, Edward; and a sister, Rosie.
The funeral service took place Thursday, June 23 at 11 a.m. at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home in Anoka, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
