Doris Eliza Main, age 94, of Howard Lake, passed away peacefully Friday, March 4, 2011, at Good Samaritan Care Facility in Howard Lake.
She was born Nov. 22, 1916.
Doris was a member of the Church of Christ and Eastern Star.
In her younger years, she was employed at Tonka Toys and the school cafeteria.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; mother Eliza (King) Holsing; a sister, Clara Lugauer; three brothers, Cecil, Willard, and Earl Holsing; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter Patricia and William LeCaine; son Michael and Kathryn Main; grandchildren Gail (husband Joel) Arne, Guy (wife Patty) Le Caine, William LeCaine Jr., Michelle (husband Jim) Barker, Nickolas (wife Danielle) Main, Christopher Main and Becky Sinnett, and Ashley Main and Aaron Munson; great-grandchildren Rachel (Jared) Arne, Guy LeCaine Jr., LeCaine and Cruz Barker, Leanne Barker and Cory Barker, and Colton and Abegail Main; a great-great-grandchild, Reese Williams; her sister-in-law, Beatrice Main; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service took place Saturday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake, with visitation for one hour prior to the service.
Honorary urn bearers were Doris’s grandchildren, Guy LeCaine, Bill LeCaine Jr., Michelle L. Barker, Gail Arne, Nick Main, Chris Main, and Ashley Main.
Arrangements were with Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home of Howard Lake.
