Alline L. Ohm, 98

Alline L. Ohm, age 98, of Waconia, died Saturday July 9, 2011, at the Waconia Good Samaritan Center.

Alline was born May 23, 1913, in Mayer, the daughter of August and Ida (Biersdorf) Zabel. She was baptized June 22, 1913, and confirmed April 10, 1927, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer by the Rev. F.W. Erthal.

Alline was united in marriage to Elmer W. Ohm April 15, 1931, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer by the Rev. F.W. Erthal.

Farming was her life, and she enjoyed it with her husband and family.

Some of her other enjoyments included sewing, playing cards and games, quilting, and gardening.

Most of all, Alline loved her family, especially being with her grandchildren. You would often find her chasing her children and grandchildren around the house.

Alline was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ohm; daughter Dorothy Crowell; son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Marlene Ohm; great-grandson David Ohm; and father and mother, August and Ida Zabel.

She is survived by her loving family; children Marvin (Sharon) Ohm of Waverly, Betty (Orville) Wilkens of Plato, and Sandy (Stan) Heldt of Mayer; grandchildren Gale and Ellie Hasse, Dale and Julie Hasse, Doug and Paula Ohm, Steve and Kris Ohm, Craig and Karry Ohm, Kevin and Raina Ohm, Debra Ohm, Danette and Scott Painschab, Cindy and John Jordan, Wendy and Brian Becker, Tracy and Craig Jackson, Jody Wilkens, Charlie Heldt, Beth and Joe Schrupp, and Mitch and Rhonda Gordon; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Alline is further survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charlie and Viola Ohm of Litchfield; special friends Alan and Terry Ohm, and Michelle Blomberg; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service took place Thursday July 14 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer with the Rev. Adam Gless officiating, and interment followed in the church cemetery. Visitation preceded the service, beginning at 9 a.m., at the church.

Casket bearers were Charlie Heldt, Joe Schrupp, Craig Jackson, Scott Painschab, John Jordan, and Brian Becker.
