Dennis P. Painschab, age 56, of Buffalo, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 4, 2011, at his home.
He was born June 27, 1954, in Waverly, the son of Herman and Jeanne (Reardon) Painschab.
Dennis attended school at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Waverly.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving honorably with the US Army.
Dennis loved to fix things and had great mechanical abilities, which led to him owning and operating Woodland Fix It, a small engine repair company.
He was a member of the Waverly American Legion and always participated in the Waverly Memorial Day parade.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Ann (Miller) Painschab; mother, Jeanne (Reardon) Painschab; nine siblings: Tim Painschab, Tom (Cheryl) Painschab, Rita (Gary) Streich, Ginny (Leo) Paquette, Terry (Joan) Painschab, Ted (Judy) Painschab, Donny (Tia) Painschab, Lee (Jodi) Painschab, and Pat (Liz) Painschab; brothers and sisters-in-law Ken (Michelle) Miller, Jeff (Julie) Miller, Mary Matter, Mark (Sherry) Miller, Dick (Patty) Miller, and Susan (Mike) Goodhart; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Painschab; and his father- and mother-in-law, Richard and Rose (Wika) Miller.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, April 9 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly, with interment in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, April 8 from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and continued Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m., all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
