Ann Marie Peterson, age 40, of Millville, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at her home, after a courageous battle with ALS.
She was born in Buffalo, to Clinton and Bonita (Psyk) Schultz. Ann Marie attended elementary school in Delano, and graduated from Delano High School in 1989.
Ann then went to the Mankato State University, receiving her bachelor’s degree in business and computer science.
Ann married Eric Peterson May 18, 1996, in Long Lake.
The couple moved to North Mankato and then, in 1999, moved to their home in Millville.
Ann worked at IBM in Rochester for two years, and then went to work at Mayo Clinic as an online operations specialist structuring websites. Ann retired from her job in August of 2008, due to her ill health.
Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, and photography.
She was a member of South East Minnesota Mothers of Multiples and Grace United Church of Christ in Millville.
Ann is survived by her husband, Eric; her daughters, Erin and Elizabeth Peterson, and sons Devin and Joshua Peterson, all of Millville; her parents, Bonnie Munson of Plainview, and Clinton Schultz of Cross Lake; a brother, Jeremy (Diane) Schultz of Orange Park, FL; and stepbrothers Michael Munson of Cokato and Richard (Julie) Munson of Montrose.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A memorial service took place Friday, July 22 at 11 a.m. at the Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel in Plainview, with the Rev. Bob Summers officiating.
Visitation was Thursday, July 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, and continued Friday for one hour prior to the service.
