Harlan W. Russell, age 63, of Louisburg, MN, formerly of Kimball and South Minneapolis, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 4, 2011, from complications of leukemia.
Harlan served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He had a great passion for flea markets, antiques, hunting, and fishing.
Harlan is survived by his mother, Jean Lennander; sister Lori Hook; brothers Ron, and Brent (Bernie); companion Yvonne Brandel; daughters Jennie (Lonny) Murray, Jeanelle (Chris) Byrne, and Julie (Greg) Boggess; grandchildren Samantha, Alex, Andrew, Adam, Kyle, Joshua, Olivia, and long-awaited baby Nathan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warren; and mother-in-law May Johnson.
A memorial service took place Friday, May 13 at 11 a.m. at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel in Crystal, with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Interment was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel.
