Michael A. Scheiber, age 53, of Minneapolis, formerly of Delano, died Saturday, March 26, 2011.
He was born Sept. 22, 1957, to Gilbert and Alberta (Odenthal) Scheiber in Watertown.
Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend; a free spirit who embraced life and lived it to the fullest. He died doing one of his passions, working and training his German Shepherd dog. He was an avid dog handler, specializing in Schutzhund, a dog guard protection specialty. He was an active member of the Minnesota Valley Schutzhund Verein.
Mike was employed as a carpenter, working in constructing scaffold systems.
He is survived by his wife, Renda; children Dustin (Amanda) Scheiber, and Angela (Neil) Stocker; granddaughter Ava; stepchildren Mindy, Misty, Michael, and Mandy Zerwas; many step grandchildren; parents Gil and Alberta Scheiber; brother Mark Scheiber; sister Mary (Kevin) Lyons; and nephews Hayden and Coleman.
