Christopher Stenberg Obituary – 5/21/2011

Christopher “Chris” Jon Stenberg, age 23, of Waukesha, WI, went to be with his Lord Saturday, May 21, 2011.

He was born Nov. 30, 1987, the son of Steve and Joni Stenberg.

Chris had many interests and hobbies. He was an avid reader, enjoyed music, movies, playing video games, grilling, cooking, making and eating Crème Brulee, “frolfing,” biking, motorcycling, camping, fishing, and campfires – in fact, he enjoyed fires so much he took on the nickname, “Christofire.”

Christopher loved his trip to Sturgis with his dad and spending time with his family, teasing his sister, scaring his brother, and playing practical jokes on anyone and everyone. He also loved animals and bugs.

Chris was most recently employed as a furniture assembler.

He was proud of his red hair and brown eyes, and more than anything, he loved his Lord!

Christopher will be dearly missed by his father, Steve, and mother, Joni, with whom he shared a special bond; brother Jeremy; sister Sarah Stenberg; grandmothers Kay Stenberg and Rosa Welfare; uncles, aunts, numerous cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Syd Stenberg and Edgar Welfare; and his cousin, Madeysen Kleve.

Visitation was Thursday, May 26 from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home in Waukesha, WI. A second visitation was Friday, May 27, from 4 p.m. until the start of the 5 p.m. memorial service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Private interment in Minnesota.
