Ever since Vicky was born, May 18, 1969, in Glencoe, she has lived her life to the fullest. She was baptized June 8, 1969, by the Rev. Robert Cordes, and confirmed March 27, 1983, by the Rev. Roger Hett at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany.

Vicky attended grade school at St. Mark Lutheran School in New Germany. She graduated from Mayer Lutheran High School in 1987.

After graduation from high school, she dove right into life at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, where she majored in theatre and truly learned how to sew. She never looked back, and started freelancing as a costume designer.

After putting herself through graduate school at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, Vicky enjoyed a whirlwind of success. She worked in several different states doing everything from teaching theatre, designing wedding dresses, theatre and movie makeup, to haunted houses. When Vicky wasn’t on the road, she lived in Chicago, IL, continued to work in theatre, and taught at Dominican University.

Throughout her illness, Vicky proved time and time again what strength and grace she possessed. Her biggest success in life is the love that she shared.

Vicky’s heart was bigger than any trial or tribulation that came her way. Her strength was insurmountable and humbling to all. It is no wonder that she leaves behind so many family and friends that will miss her.
