John E. Watson, Sr., age 67, of St. Cloud, formerly of Buffalo, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
He was born Aug. 29, 1944, in Buffalo, the son of James K. and Vera R. Mutterer Watson.
John was joined in marriage with Patricia J. Boyce Feb. 8, 2003, in Clackamas, OR.
John was formerly employed as an over-the-road truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Watson; four children: Frank Watson, Becky Hauer, John Watson Jr., and Carrie Krohn; step grandchildren: Steve Coffman, Timothy Coffman, Kimberly Coffman and Allen Coffman; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild to be born in November; three sisters, Barbara James, Janie Prestidge, and Sandy Dmytryszyn; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Freddy Watson; son Scott Watson; a daughter, Betty Jo; infant granddaughter, Brandy Mae; his parents; and by Fred and Evelyn Ordorff, who raised him after he turned 11 years old.
Funeral services took place Friday, Sept. 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Interment was at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Montrose.
Visitation was Thursday, Sept. 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo served the family.
