Roger J. Wegman Obituary – 9/9/2011


Roger Joseph Wegman, age 62, of Delano, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 9, 2011.

He was born Feb. 15, 1949, in St. Cloud, to Arthur and Helen (Brunn) Wegman.

Roger was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had the natural ability to make people laugh, and could entertain a crowd whether it be by telling a joke or a story, or by playing his guitar and singing.

He was a carpenter for nearly 40 years, and retired from the carpentry union five years ago.

Roger loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his family, especially his precious grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Helen Wegman; brothers Jim Wegman, and Dennis Wegman; and sister-in-law Betty Wegman.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janice; children Todd (Barb) Wegman; and Missy (Dan) Lysne; six grandchildren, Nathan, Kayla, Ali, Hailey, Katie, and Cassie; a brother, Kevin (Theresa) Wegman; a sister, Janet (Larry) Kroska; and sisters-in-law Carol Wegman and Carole Wegman.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Sept. 15 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano. The Rev. Paul Kammen celebrated the Mass, followed by interment in the Calvary Cemetery in Delano.

Arrangements were by the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
